Primitive Hall is open for private tours by appointment year-round. We welcome guests to enjoy this local landmark and learn about its wonderful history.
Tours begin with a brief introductory video that provides historical context followed by a guided room-by-room exploration of the Hall. Guests will learn about Joseph Pennock and the Pennock family, the architectural and cultural history of the Hall, and the significance of its furnishings—many of which are original to the home and date back to the early 18th century.
Visitors are invited to view a comprehensive Pennock family genealogy chart that traces eight generations of the family’s lineage. This is of particular interest to our many visiting Pennock descendants.

The ground floor of the Hall is wheelchair accessible.
The Primitive Hall Foundation does not charge for tours, but donations (by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo) are gratefully accepted.
All gift shop purchases benefit the preservation of Primitive Hall.
